How to connect the Firmable Enrichment HubSpot app

Learn how to install and connect your Firmable account to your HubSpot account for contact and company record enrichment

Below is a step-by-step guide detailing the process of installing the Firmable Enrichment HubSpot app including setup prerequisites, authorisation steps, and property mapping processes.

Prerequisites

Before initiating the integration, ensure the following:
  • You are on a Teams or Teams Pro plan with Firmable. 
  • You have the Admin role permission on Firmable and the Super Admin role in HubSpot.
  • Your email address is the same for both your HubSpot and Firmable user accounts. 

Note: If you don’t yet have an active HubSpot account, you can set one up as part of this install process.

 

Integration setup

Account authorisation

  • Go to hubspot.firmable.com to begin your installation process.
  • Authorise the installation. 
  • Select etiher to Create a new HubSpot account to connect with or Sign in to your HubSpot account if you have an existing account you’d like to connect with. Sign in to your HubSpot account and proceed or, if you’re creating a new account, follow the prompts from HubSpot including setting up a password and continue with the below steps.



  • Choose the HubSpot account you wish to connect with Firmable and click Choose account.
  • Provide your Firmable login credentials if prompted (Note: it may not if you’re already signed in to an active session).
  • You’ll be provided with a summary of the access the Firmable Enrichment app needs from your HubSpot account. This allows us to enrich records you choose to update data values for. Review and click Connect app.

Mapping users

  • You’ll then be presented with a list of HubSpot and Firmable users with a matching email address. Click Next to continue.
  • Note: In order to take advantage of the Firmable Enrichment app in HubSpot, each user who needs access will need to have both a corresponding HubSpot and Firmable user account with a matching email address. If you think there are any users missing from the list, contact support@firmable.com.

 

Mapping company properties

  • Next step is to review a list of HubSpot company properties(fields) mapped to corresponding Firmable company properties (fields). We will automatically map default fields between the two platforms. Here, you have the ability to:
    • Change the pre-selected Firmable properties to connect your HubSpot properties to via the corresponding Firmable company property dropdown.
    • Select Add HubSpot field to add and map additional properties. For example, you may select an existing default or custom HubSpot property to map additional Firmable data to, such as Revenue. Once mapped, click Save.
    • Create custom fields to map additional Firmable data that you don’t yet have HubSpot properties set up for. For example, if you’re wanting to capture ABN against the company record but don’t yet have a custom HubSpot property set up for that, you can select Create custom field, enter the Custom field name, Custom field type (Text, Number, Date), and Company field group (e.g. ‘company information’). Click Add.
    • Then, find the corresponding Firmable field to map it to.
  • Once you’ve added all the properties you want to connect and enrich, select the Sync rule for each property that will apply whenever a user chooses to enrich a company record. The three options are:
    • When blank use Firmable. This means if there is currently no value in the field for a record, Firmable data will be populated when enriched. This is the most commonly used sync rule.
    • Override from Firmable. This means regardless of whether there is or isn’t a value in the field for a record, Firmable data will override it when enriched. Note: Be wary of using this as it will override existing data you have populated in HubSpot for that field.
    • Don’t sync. You can also choose not to sync the property at all.


  • Click Next when done.

Mapping contact properties

  • On the next screen, review a list of HubSpot contact properties (fields) mapped to corresponding Firmable people properties (fields).
  • Complete the same steps as described under Mapping company properties above in the previous step including mapping of properties and choosing sync rules.
  • Click Next when done.

Complete set up

  • Once mapping is complete, your HubSpot account is now connected to your Firmable account. You can now go straight to your Contacts or Companies views in HubSpot to start enriching.
