Troubleshooting common MCP connection issues
Fix the most common problems when connecting Firmable to Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or a developer tool via MCP.

You are on a Small Teams, Teams Pro, or Enterprise plan with Firmable.
Common Issues

Connector fails to connect or shows no data: check that the email on your AI tool account matches the email on your Firmable account exactly. This is the most common fix.

Signed in before but suddenly can't authenticate: clear cookies for the AI tool's site and log in again, a stale login session is a common cause.

Connector works in a web app but fails in an IDE client (for example, VS Code): some IDE-based MCP clients handle authentication differently to the browser version. Retry the connection from inside the IDE rather than reusing a web session.

Using Claude Code or another sandboxed/isolated coding environment: these environments can block outbound MCP connections entirely.
